Night screams.. any ideas?

"hey all, my 23months old son seems to be waking in the night screaming for no real reason? Its happening frequently sometimes twice per night for about 3 weeks or so. Any ideas, help or suggestions on causes or treatments?

It was happening before we moved him to his 'big bed' and continues. He also has 2year teeth/molars coming through. Sometimes he cries & doesn't even wake. "

Hey Lyndall, My son went through the same thing round the same age aswell! Go to google and research "night terrors" they are very common and similar to a nightmare i guess! Hope this helps and they do pass i seen a doctor when they happened they freaked me out!!

hey, my daughter is about the same age and she was doin the same thing, when we took her to the doctors she ended up having a middle ear infection. everytime it happens now it always seems to be the same thing nearly every 3 weeks.

or

it could also be a growth spurt.
