it all depends on what percentage he has the kids and you have them. also it depends on what he earns.
you should have a look at the csa website it might give you more info.

if you go on to the child support website and use there calculator they have it should give you an estimate on what you will recieve :)

18% of what his yearly income is, providing he has no other children in his care. If he has biological children in his care the percentage goes down.

Once you work out what the 18% of his yearly income is just divide that by the 26 fortnights in the year and then you'll know.

Just be warned. The CSA is a rip off. I know from experience.

My advise to you would be to ask the child support agency for assistance in working out what he is suppose to pay, and then have a private arrangement between yourself and your husband. The CSA arent worth the hassle that they cause.

Hey there, you should check out www.csa.gov.au to find out an estimate of how much child support you're eligible to recieve. If you're still friends with your ex-husband then you may be able to come to a mutual agreement and collect the money from him each week, fortnight or month without actually going through the Child Support Agency as they only collect the money once a month from the paying parent & even then it's not guarenteed to be paid into your account (if you ex doesn't pay the child support bill each month then it just keeps adding up until CSA can be bothered actually getting the money from him). CSA can do an assesment for you, based on your ex-husbands annual income and tell you how much he should be paying in child support, but if he is generous he may agree to pay more (in a private agreement). Anyway, have a look at the Child Support website or even give them a call to discuss your situation and they can tell you what your options are. Hope that helps!

hi. even if he doesnt pay child support they will take his tax return and then give that to u and send him a bill for any amount that remains oustanding. i have to dsagree with all the gals saying get private agreement. even if u have a private agreement he can still refuse to pay any child support. where if u have one that csa collects on behalf of u thy can garnish wages, make centerlink pay ifhe refuses to pay. plus its both a stressfl time for u the childern and ur ex husband. so its best nt to inflame it any more then its needed good luck with it all

Sorry to be the barrer of bad news but if your husband is self employed then he will probably not pay you any money. I have been trying for 6 years to get John Milnes of 25 Ralph Garth in Tockwith, York to pay some maintenance but he has avoided it at every turn. His latest stunt was to tell the CSA he doesn't have a job even though he is employed by his trollops company. If he is employed by a proper company then he will have to pay. Good luck I really hope your ex is a bigger man than mine.

Keep smiling
